There are so many things to consider when choosing a venue. We want to ensure your questions have been answered before making that decision.

Do you require a deposit?

Old Mill Farm requires 50% ($3,400.00) of the rental fee to hold your date. The remaining balance is due 180 days (6 months) prior to your event date. We welcome you to send the remaining balance in payment increments that fit your budget.

We also require a refundable $500.00 damage deposit in addition to the rental fee 2 weeks prior to your event. This will be refunded within 7 days of your event upon inspection of the premises.

How do I reserve a date?

Reserving a date can be either through a booking request or sending us an email at allthingsgood@oldmillfarm.com. Please include a preferred date as well as an alternate date in the event your preferred date is not available. Dates will be reserved on a first come first serve basis; through either form submission or email. This will be based on date and time of the submission or email. If a date is requested and a deposit is not received within 7 calendar days, this date will go to the next person in line.

We encourage tours prior to requesting a date and providing your deposit. Tours can be completed in-person or via Skype or Face-Time for those unable to travel to the premises. Please use the Tour Request Form on the Tours page.

Can we nail/staple decorations to the wood or hang things like lights from the outside of the barn?

Old Mill Farm and others that have come before us have logged the trees off our farm and had them individually milled. Each board has been hand cut and touched by many loving hands to construct the barn. As such, we request that holes are not placed in the walls or any wood surfaces. We hope that you will find the barn wood beautiful without any extra work!

Can we use open flame candles?

Yes! We permit open flame candles. Our barn and historic wood are important aspects of the property. Therefore, they are strictly limited to tea light candles and must have at least 2 inches of protection around the flame such as glass, metal, or ceramic material. FLAME LESS candles may be used.

Are sparklers permitted?

We LOVE the idea of sending the new couple off with flare! Sparklers will be permitted for use outside of the barn to be used no less than 25 feet from the building and only on gravel surfaces. (If a burn ban is in effect, no sparklers will be permitted.)

FIREWORKS/PYROTECHNIC MATERIAL ARE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE.

Can I have items delivered before the event?

For off-site Rentals, the Tenant is required to communicate and arrange all delivery and pick-up of the off-site rental items with the Landlord because access to the building is limited on weekdays. Rental items must be delivered and picked up THE DAY of the event unless different arrangements are made with the Old Mill Farm staff.

What is your smoking policy?

While we certainly respect the rights of all individuals, we also promote the optimum environment for our guests. Smoking/Vaping is permitted in designated smoking areas. Cigarette/Cigar debris is to be disposed of in marked receptacles. Drug use of any kind is strictly prohibited.

Can we bring our dog?

Animals of all kinds are the best! Only pets you are wishing to include in the ceremony and appropriately marked service animals are allowed and are to be kept on leashes. They need to be attended to at all times and cannot roam freely. You are responsible to clean up after your pets.

Are there overnight accommodations nearby?

Yes. The Best Western Plus Park Place Inn & Suites and the Holiday Inn Express and Suites are less than 20 minutes away.
